Silverchilli handmade, ethical jewellery is fresh, desirable and fair trade. Handmade in Mexico by craftspeople who are fairly paid (50% in advance) for their work, these products demonstrate that fair trade can mean the highest quality products without compromising those responsible for making the items. In addition, Silverchilli supports community projects in Mexico and beyond and ensures that by planting trees, every flight (not just a proportion of the flight) bringing the jewellery to the UK is offset.

Silverchilli was borne out of a desire to blow away the myth that 'third world' goods/crafts are of an inferior quality, to be bought out of sympathy for the cause rather than true desire for the product. An ironic perception when you consider that most 'labelled' clothing is made in sweatshops in the developing world, and that most Fair Trade goods are handmade to a high quality.
