Triodos, the Netherlands based investment bank, is bucking a whole number of trends in the banking sector. Firstly, it's a bank which cares about the long term sustainability of its customers, both from a financial and an ethical perspective. Secondly, it's actually increasing the value of its portfolio. Hopefully Triodos can be an inspiration to other banks whose short-term chase for profits have ended up benefiting no-one.
